Children and Art, guest Karen Wallace, Feb 4, 2013

Were your children born with an "art gene?" Artist and art therapist Karen Wallace reassures us that all kids are born artists. Art is another way of creating and sharing stories about life. It's a process of expressing ourselves in color, paint, dance, music, words and many other ways. For adults, gardening, putting meals together, and getting dressed are also forms of art. What are some ways that children create art?

Karen Wallace shares some ideas for including art in the lives of children, from babies to school, and beyond. She explains how art is a process and this process is used in art therapy to explore what is troubling and blocking in lives of children, and adults.

Join us for a fascinating conversation about the role of art and how we can nurture the artist in our children...and ourselves.
