After spending 20+ years as a leader and consultant within many Fortune 500 companies such as AT&T, Amazon, T-Mobile and Microsoft, I pulled the parachute cord and started my own company in 2013. Why? I wanted to share my decades of experience to help entrepreneurs and small business owners shortcut the learning process to build and scale their business.

While there are processes that are standard for every business (hello! accounts receivable), we work together to assess where you are and what systems you need to take your company to the next level. My expertise in Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations allows me to create a plan customized for YOU. I don't have a playbook that I blindly apply to each client - where's the fun in that? I am genuinely interested in hearing where you've come from and where you want to go to develop the best plan for YOU and your business.

As for me, I have a good appreciation of the curve balls life can throw you. In 2011, I went through a painful divorce which led me to a period of intense introspection, therapy and ultimately pursuing life coaching certification as a way to heal myself. I realized that the very thing that I was extremely good at, which was coaching and mentoring others, was the very solution to creating a new life for myself and my son, Ben. Ben is my heart. He's 16 years old, and just about to enter his senior year of high school. He makes me laugh every day. I'm proud to be able to show him the business that I'm building for myself, and for us. Perhaps it's the hundreds of hours he's sat quietly in the car listening to me on conference calls that has sparked his interest in being a business owner himself? That excites me!

There is something else that I'd like to share with you. Last year, in 2016, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Once you get the call from the oncologist confirming you have cancer, you step onto a speeding train that you have no control over. So, after the initial shock wore off, I embraced the fact that I was forced to just...stop. And reflect...about everything. I realized I really liked who I am, I'm a good mother and that I am truly in the zone when I'm helping solve problems. Because of cancer, I would say that I'm hyper aware about time. It's finite. I wish I had this awareness when I was working in corporate America and stringing decades together doing things that I was good at, but not necessary passionate about. And too scared to take the leap to build my own business. Time felt boundless. Now I'm acutely aware that it is not.

Enough with the backstory! Here's other stuff you might want to know about me. I'm known to get cozy with the couch and binge watch dramas and travel programs. Ok, ok...I'm also a sucker for the unexpected act in America's Got Talent! I love sharing good meals with friends and family. I have three cats - that is definitely a story for another day. And, I live on an island west of Seattle. I love it here, but especially in the summer. Our summers are gorgeous. For 4 months a year, I act like a crazy person when that shiny, warm light shines in the sky. And speaking of light - I no longer hide my mine, and you shouldn't either.
